Abigail Senior Apartments – Lansing, Michigan
Wespath’s Positive Social Purpose (PSP) Lending Program helped finance the rehabilitation of a property on the National Register of Historic Places.
The Abigail Senior Apartments in Lansing, Michigan, are located in two buildings that had previously been part of the Michigan School for the Blind. The main administrative building (which originally opened in 1916) and the high school building (1912) were converted into a total of 60 apartments for individuals 55 and older.
Both buildings have apartments and community space. Each apartment includes a dishwasher, full-size refrigerator, washer and dryer.
Wespath invested $713,000 in the project and worked with intermediary Cinnaire. Wespath’s funding for the Abigail Senior Apartments was completed in April 2021.
